VW Santana mk2?
Hello Volksforum!
My name is Tim. I am really sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in; I am curious about the Volkswagen Santana mk2. It is pictured here; http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...de_valinhos.jpg The car in the middle. Now, I have done a little research and it looks like it is only released in China and Brazil? Seeing as how it was not released (from what I can find) in this US is it pretty much out of the question for purchase in the US? I emailed VW about it and have heard nothing back. In one forum I read somewhere someone said it was the non-North American version of the Passat. I can see how they look similar - is that true? Any information you guys have on this car, I'd be very happy if you could share it! If it's not going to be a logistical nightmare trying to obtain one - I am considering! Thank you, again! -Tim |

basicly, if it wasn't sold in the US, you can't import it..
There's not really a reason to want one either other then the rarity of it. They are modern versions of a 30 year old design. there's a few members here that have one though, check this part of the forums for more info: http://www.volksforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=82

Hey What´s Up!
Well as I Can see... the VW Santana in the picture is from Brazilian Police! It´s a very common car in here, I think that the most part of line production of VW Santana is here in Brazil... I don´t know... but I think too that there are some VW Santana in Argentina, and other countries of South America (maybe with a different name) It´s can be equiped with a 1.8 or a 2.0 liters MI engine and now it´s not expensive anymore. A lot of guys here in Brazil like this car because it´s very confortable! There´s some hot stuff of the brazilians modified VW Santana MK2! I realy love this color! * could anyone tell me if these wheels also exist elsewhere in the world? Here it´s called Orbital (from the VW prototype "Futura"... it was shown to the brazilian public in 1990 during the São Paulo Saloon) I Know that another prototype was created in Germany... it was called Orbit... please forgive me if I´m wrong or maybe have changed the names! Some Interior... Original That´s All Folks!!!
