Default Roof Repair

Here is what you do with the roof should the previous owner of 'your ride' decide to cut in a non factory sun roof.

yup, mine wasn't custom though but from a Renault Twingo. I'm more interested in the removed driprails though.. did you do that or were they on the car already?

Na man, I did that.

go over to www.mk1dubz.com and under 'body' I wrote up several DIY's on it.

I've also cut the hole bigger and installed a twingo sunroof

Dude, i don't have a roof now? nothing more to cut.

I custom ordered that rag top, even the cargo area in the boot is open.

The next step would be to buy a Cabrio!

he means he did a simular mod, with a twingo roof.. not that you should cut it bigger

I also had a crappy sunroof and cut the hole bigger, but i fitted a sunroof from a Renault Twingo.

Nice. I never even thought of the renault.... they haven't been sold in the U.S. in many years.

The rag top looks awesome though. I got it from streetbeatcustoms and it looks very well made.


I can't wait to get the 80 back on the road.

I just removed the drip rail on my 84 Convertible, but that was cake compared to the two above.
