Hoe weet je dat jij dit was? In de cockpit zie ik je niet zitten

Boeing op het filmpje gaat inderdaad erg laag! In Japan of China vliegen de passagiers vliegtuigen tussen de wolkenkwabbers, ziet er ook erg vaag uit

Dat was Hong Kong (Kai Tak airport) met de beroemde/beruchte checkerboard approach. Vliegveld is inmiddels gesloten en gesloopt.

Corfu is ook geweldig, daar kun je op delen van het eiland de vliegtuigen ook voorbij zien scheren op enkele tientallen meters afstand.

Is het nooit misgegaan daar op st maarten? Het lijkt mij dat de foutmarge hier véél kleiner is dan op een regulier vliegveld?

Nee hoor, de marge is gelijk. De baan is niet eens erg kort, maar begint gewoon dicht op het strand. Als je op schiphol een strand voor het hek zou leggen ziet het er net zo spannend uit

ok

heb je als piloot niet de neiging om daar lekker laag overheen te knallen, beetje je grenzen opzoeken?
of is het verstand sterk genoeg om in de gaten te hebben dat er nog een hoop (nog) levende mensen in de bus met vleugels zitten?
