Change mechanical FuelPump Polo MK1/Audi 50
Hi guys,
can anyone tell me what should I do to change a fuel pump? Is there anything 'tricky' I should be aware like some kind of fluid that I must place in the gasket or the position I set the camshaft? thanks |

A new gasket should do the job. (Mostly included with the new fuelpump)
Or you can use some silicone gasket. (don't use to much) |

Not yet, the new fuel pump is working, but something wrong to the fuel tank (or the hose or in the fuel tank itself). I installed the new pump and nothing... then I got a 5meter 0.6mm hose and connected to the pump and the other side to a tank outside, and the pump pulls the petrol. (that's strange because you could suck some petrol from the hose, I thought that the pump was to weak, maybe the old pump was fine ) Today or tomorrow I will install a new contact set, it's the only thing that I haven't replaced in the ignition (that and the ignition, I've been crossing wires to start the engine, or try to ) Mola |
