I Spent over 3500$ Last Year on Fuel
That was 2008 & the calculations are approximate as my credit card statements are no longer available. I am hoping that 2010 will be a much better year.... as I am planning on finally getting my TDI running as a daily driver Crazy!

That's rougly 2400 euro's, which will get you about 1800 liters of gasoline here... That will get you an average of 18-20k kilometers which in turn is about 12-12,5k miles...
I bet you drove more for that amount of money right (presuming your in the US) 3500 dollar got you (average 2,50 per gallon) 1400 gallon's... what is average? 10mpg -> 14k miles 15mpg -> 21k miles Was just wondering how the prices are there related to the prices here! i think i did underestimate by about $500 USD
I drove all over the place ($1200 in tolls). 10 hour round trips every week to every other week......From Albany NY to Key West Florida & back.... check out a map for that one.... I just KNOW I drove about 2500 - 3500/month. Bi weekly trip was like this... Albany NY to NYC to Delaware to Central PA and back..........easily 2000 miles just on that a month. Car rental MPG was about 14-17 MPG I get a lot better now in my GTI (but putting on the miles waaaaaaaaaay too fast now). Its sad because you guys are used to paying out the ass.......
