They won't let me buy my part!!
I've been trying for YEARS to get a late model US-spec GTI 16V spoiler (191 827 933 B GRU) and all the fixings to fit to my Golf. I've tried dealers in Ireland, and they say it doesn't exist, dealers in America, and they never reply(!!), independent parts suppliers in America, but say say post and packing on the spoiler would be over $300, and now I've tried a dealer in the UK, who recognise the number, could give me a price on it, but say it may not be available for release in Europe so they can't sell me one!! Does anyone have any idea how to get one of these??!!!

It's available here in Holland, costs about 100 euro's
According to the VW parts program it's a primered spoiler, correct? |

That's it! It's the primered spoiler (hence the GRU) but the UK dealer I asked said he could only source 191 827 933 GRU (the standard primered spoiler) and not 191 827 933 B GRU (the primered spoiler with the brake light cutout) or the brake light itself, or the fittings!! it all sounds a bit silly to me, as the light itself is E coded!

I typed in the number in the parts program, and there it was. I couldn't find it in the drawings. I first thought it was a front spoiler, but now i suggest it's a rear spoiler, cause the brake light cutout.
I will seek again and post a pic if i can find it back in the drawings |

I couldn't find a specific pic of it either on the Russian ETKA website, but it is listed on the parts listing when you open it up. That photograph there is it alright though!! (Thanks Redjet!) That's a German VR6 conversion that has the rear spoiler, it's a really helpful site with all the correct part numbers to fit the entire thing properly, it's just getting the bits!

http://www.hoffmann-speedster.de/dt...dframe_golf.htm I don't know if it's the right one, but you can always ask them. |

I already have that spoiler at home! It's the Votex rear spoiler with brake light, I only found out after I got it that it's a really flimsy type of plastic, and it's attached by levering supports under the rear window rubber and over the glass! Not a nice part at all, that's why I'm going for the factory part! The brake light is of high quality though
