You mean the one you get when you buy an new car? If so, maybe you could look on Ebay.de they have "Slagfest PKW's" once in a while. Contact a seller and just asks if he has the manual as well and if he would like to sell it to you.

Of a manual like the Haynes and Bentley one? If we are talking about the maintenance manuals, I really don't have a clue what you could buy that is published in German.

I guess he wants an "Betriebsanleitung" for his Golf. Have you asked your VW dealer? I once got one (for an Audi) and it cost me like 7 euros.

Ebay is also a wise tip. I searched for "VW Golf Betriebsanleitung" and got 57 hits.
