Default new rack install

just installed this rack i picked up at a local vw yard. it came off the owners 80 rabbit he bought new. he said this was a factory option. anyone seen one like this?[IMG]

I cant see any rack, it's too dark. Try taking pics in daylight.

yeah got it all centered up. marked and drilled some holes, and used sheetmetal screws with silicone. its plenty stout.

i wonder why they would make a factory options that is screwed into the roof, while there are those rails where the roof rack normally would go.

yeah there are little 1/16" holes covered under the rack. when i decide to take the rack off there an easy fix.....woopy woo
