In fact, EGR, downgrades your engine in performance terms. Because the EGR recirculates exhaust-gas into the inlet, it isn't gonna burn so efficiently. But, on the other side, it's a great method to save the enviroment due to a cleaner exhaust-gas.

So in conclusion:
Is it power what you want? Get rid of it
Wanna save the environment? Replace it
