new exhaust idea,... hey it was cheap
 

so yeh... i've seen the same stands selling the same tips on every meeting for years now..
always the same DTM style tips which i don't like at all....
but lately the prices of them were dropping like flies.

and when i found a DTM tip at worthersee for €10 i couldn't resist...

been ly-ing in my room since may, being all nice and shiny but it was that dumb DTM style... untill i thought up that it might look cool if the tip wasn't pointing upwards but downwards to a side.. so i got myself a hollow 16V exhaust for free (thanks Marc and Maikel ;) ) and got Stijn to weld on the tip for me.
check the results and tell me if you like it....

total costs.. € 10 for the tip, € 0 for the exhaust, and € an afternoon of me helping Stijn sanding his new project for the welding






the welds are nice and Stijn coated them in zinc spray. now all i need is to paint the exhaust end pipe upto the tip in black

true, it points down to the left.. lets say to 7 'o clock.

It looks cool but isn't a 16V exhaust because it has only one outcoming pipe.
I got myself a cool mid section lately, I welded up a stainless steel 2.5 inch pipe from the end of the header (spaghetti) to the rear silencer. I also added flanges instead of the always twisting shove over connections.

and does it gives a nice vrooem

nope, the "olieboot" has smoked it pure black on the inside now
