Any other help would be greatly appreciated.... Info on brakes, engine, etc... Thanks |
there are subframes for sale to fit a big block vw-engine, but they're not cheap, and the heavy engine doesn't improve handling.
There was one for sale here though: http://www.volksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36480 |
This is a 1.6 16V from a Polo 6N1 in my Polo 86c.
All VAG smallblocks will fit in a 86c. 17" is waaay to big! |
please give me the engine code for these motors....We dont get them here in South Africa so ill have to import one of them....Is that a MK1 Golf brake booster....
|
Cool stuff!
As for engines, only engines of the smaller VW engine family will fit without massive surgery. You can probably find one in a Polo newer than yours. |

This is a AJV engine from a Polo 6n1 GTI. Nope, no Golf brake booster but the original a bit shortened. |
my car is rhd....my car doesnt have a brake booster....
if i change the engine ill have a big prob....all the power and no braked to stop.... |
Well, just don't change the engine only. Also replace the booster and disks+calipers.
