ok ok ok...
the picture is heavily photoshoped! It only has -40mm springs on, the handles aint really smoothed over and I have clear glass all round! and yes.. the ambulance is still there. Been sat on his drive for near on 4 years now. Aren't I lucky!! |
gonna look pretty sweet once these babies are on!!
just waiting to get some foglamps. Am also looking for some fine black mesh to put behind the vent in the front bumper. |
for all you ambulance lovers!
:D :D :D |
I'm working now on my polo 2 Gt G40,a red one,i hope to have some pix soon. arno |
Sweeet
This pic of my fly-ride ain't photoshopped, I just stashed it with shit, so the rearend is sittin on it's bumpstops :-) No not really. It's lowered with 60mm springs (with matching dampers), but since its 'Jamex / Dramex' the car sunk abit more then that. I do think the rear-wheels are nicely 'inside' the arches, but the front could go lower even more. Problem is; this is my daily driver. I now have 'little, but some' trouble to get to work,.. even lower and I will have to raise the engine. Fuck Speed-bumps, Fuck sewer-lids, Fuck pot-holes! It's on winter-wheels, but in summer I drive it with balloon wheels :175/65 r13 on 5,5 J steel with hubcaps. NO rubbin' though.. perfect match (ET/offset is just perfect! About 3 mm space between reararch and tyre.. Didn't roll anything (and not intending to either) |
Shit Rob, you owe me some major RobLovin'. Check your hotmail.
Now I'm outta here before I get flamed for driving a plastic Polo. Whatever the hell that means. :D |

I've seen 1 Polo in the streets of Montreal in my entire life.
The Golf is the base model in North America. :D Our supply of cars is driven by what americans want (ie no diesels, no small cars), which is too bad. :( Could somebody post pictures of the different versions of the Polo through the years? |
First model:
1974,. Audi (not VW) presented the 'Audi 50' It was build at the Wolfsburg site of volkswagen, so from the beginning, it was a VW, but design bij Audi... Then in 1975 VW came up with the Polo.. same car, diff badges, and available with the same engine and a 900cc 40 horsies basic engine The VW Derby saw the light in 1977. Originally designed by Audi, it looks like a shrunk Audi 80,. it's a Polo with a Boot. Big diff: The Derby is available with a strong (60 horsies) 1.3 liter engine, has a boot and curved bumpers. All three lived happily ever after,.. UNTIL 1979. VW desided to 'get rid of' the Audi 50, and restyle the other two. They got a diff frontgrill, large plastic bumpers and square type of dash. The Derby got square headlights, like the jetta did to. They stayed until 1981. End '81 the new Polo 2 arrived.. squareback and derby in 82 the Coupe joined.. they all had the same front, but diff tails: steilheck: Derby (renamed as Classic ) The Derby was badged 'Derby' or 'Polo Classic' and later just 'Polo'. The first 2 years it featured square headlights, but they soon changed for round ones.. see: and: and finally Coupe: in 1990 they were all facelifted: big bumpers, other dash, modded lights, arches but panels stayed the same (windows are interchangeable except the rear-hatch windows).. Coupe version: Derby/Classic/2Door version (only build until 1992) and the Steilheck: After 1994, they came up with a new Polo,.. Someone else got to fill that one in.. |
I really wish the US would have been graced with these amazing cars...at least MK2+
Sorry the MK1 was just far to hideous |
