In austria it was removed from the strut, and placed elsewhere. something to do with placing a strut bar evt.
That's the only thing i didn't like then. It just took away something originally. IMHO it could be a 83 with a welded rearend. |
They are labeled Compomotive but they are indeed 100% positive Schimdt TH 1 piece, just built for compomotive thats why they are labeled as such

the first series of the mk1 has that indent between the taillights.. that's why they call it a swallowtail

looking up some old vw-magazine's this is what I found
vw-wob aug-2004 built by a german guy called Patrick Koller Who apparenly got the car from a couple he was friens with. in this article they are saying it's a may 75 car but, I remember seeing photo's on the inet (years and years ago)of metalic blue 83 car with the rear cut out. and being turned into this car!! then the car was sold to a guy in england called Rajan who later sold it to Jay McToldrige (who I believe still owns it) PerformanceVW june/08 Jay did a rebuilt on the car, and in the article it is told that the car isnĀ“t a 75. This car has been to mivw show in 08 |
